How it works

How the Peptide Reconstitution Formula calculator works

Use this page to see the peptide reconstitution formula written out so you can calculate vial concentration and syringe units from your own user-entered values.

01

Enter your vial

Type the milligrams in your vial and the water you are adding. The calculator shows concentration in mg/mL.

02

Enter your target amount

Add the amount you intend to draw, choose mcg or mg, and pick U-100, U-50, or U-40.

03

Read the syringe line

Peptific converts the volume into syringe units and keeps the formula visible for checking.

Example math

Peptide Reconstitution Formula example reconstitution math

The page opens with an example so the calculator is useful immediately. Replace every value with your own vial label, water amount, target amount, and syringe type.

5 mg/mL
10 mg vial / 2 mL water
0.2 mL
1 mg target amount
20 units
U-100 syringe line

Formula: vial mg divided by water mL gives concentration. Target mg divided by concentration gives mL to draw. mL multiplied by syringe units per mL gives the unit line. This example estimates about 10 draws per vial when the same target amount is used each time.

Formula overview

The core peptide reconstitution formula is concentration = vial amount in mg divided by water amount in mL. From there, target amount in mg divided by concentration gives the volume in mL to draw, and that volume multiplied by 100 gives U-100 syringe units. Every value is user-entered.

Worked examples

If you enter 10 mg in the vial and 2 mL of bacteriostatic water, concentration is 5 mg per mL. For a target amount of 1 mg, volume is 1 divided by 5, or 0.2 mL, which is 20 units on a U-100 syringe. Change any input and the arithmetic updates.

mg and mcg handling

When the target amount is entered in mcg, convert by dividing by 1000 to get mg before applying the formula, or multiply concentration in mg per mL by 1000 to get mcg per mL. Peptific handles the unit conversion automatically from the target unit you select.

Syringe units

On a U-100 insulin syringe, 100 units equals 1 mL, so units = volume in mL multiplied by 100. The calculator reads the syringe type you choose and outputs the unit mark that matches the target amount you entered.

FAQ

Common questions about the peptide reconstitution formula, how to calculate vial concentration, and how Peptific logs and exports the arithmetic from your user-entered values are answered below.

Simple Peptide Reconstitution Formula guide for calculator users

This page can answer more than the calculator form, but it stays inside user-entered math, logging, vial inventory, export, and app tracking.

What people mean by peptide reconstitution formula

Searches for peptide reconstitution formula usually mean: how do I calculate the concentration in a vial after adding water, and how do I convert a target amount into a syringe unit reading. Peptific frames this as arithmetic on user-entered values that you can log, save, and export, with no advice on what amounts to choose.

Inputs to check before using the calculator

The calculator reads five user-entered fields: vial amount in mg, water amount in mL, target amount, target unit in mg or mcg, and syringe type. Confirm each field reflects what you have on hand before you calculate. Peptific does not tell you what values to enter.

How to save and audit the math

After you calculate, save the result to your vial inventory in Peptific so you can review the arithmetic, track remaining volume, and export the log later. Reviewing the saved record shows the exact inputs and outputs from the formula.
